i wonder what percentage of jehovah's witnesses actually practise the shunning policy personally?
i've been df'd since 1972. since then i have encountered numerous jw's, either by chance encounter in the street or in social situations such as pubs and restaurants.
i've come across several in work situations also.

I go right up to the JWs and act like everything is "normal"-?. i mean I get right in their face or I just holler across the store/in public etc. -"how are you doing and how are things at the Kingdom Hall." Or a favorite of mine is, "YOU OLD APOSTATE! ARE YOU SERVING JEHOVAH OR THE MEN IN NEW YORK?" Yes, I have had some fun.................
i know some have posted similar topics like this, but i thought it might be kind of fun (for the new ones that are coming here in droves) and others, to give some examples of catch phrases etc, that are unique to the jw world.
here's a few to start:.... "muster up boldness", "sound down into our hearts","satan's crafty acts", "paradisaic", "young ones"," discernment".....these are just a few of the more irritating.

being disassociated carries with it many rewards - not being invited to the in-laws, not having bible bashers assaulting my privacy (but sometimes i do wish they would call to share some wholesome fellowship.
presently i am working on my apostate skills and feel that i am making some progress, but i do recall how much the brothers dreaded those persons reputedly of the (shudder) 'evil slave class'.
i haven't seen any mention of them on the board and wonder whether they still exist, and if they still manage to icite fear and trepidation in the joeys.. if so..... then i want to enlist - it must be the ultimate in achievement.. cheeses (of the evil slave class).
In reality, the WTB&TS definition and explanation of "the evil slave class" is simply wrong and misunderstood. It is another fear tatic used to gain and keep people under their control.
Besides, there is something much worse for the WTB&TS to fear.

football is aggressive and to be a jw is to be peaceful.
Choices are made everyday for a variety of reasons. The WTB&TS just want TOTAL CONTROL.. And it is NOT authorized by God! Wish more people could see it!!

this one may not qualify as a "fully-twisted" scripture, in the sense that so many others are more twisted and more misused, and more transliterated.
but, i did run across a scripture that is incorrectly translated in the new world translation i felt it needs to be brought to light.
